Several players from the Crumb Crew AAU / Travel Basketball Club earned MVP honors at a recent tournament and have been invited to the Big Shots All-Star Weekend on August 22–23 in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Becoming a “professional” overseas sounds like a level up. And it is.
But what no one tells you is that the title often signals more than the structure supports. The compensation rarely matches the status. And if you’re not careful, you’ll chase the label instead of the lesson.
For me, it became clear: it was never about the pay. It was about perspective.

Herman graduated from Quincy University in 2017 where he played as a starter on the basketball team and led them to the NCAA D2 tournament during his senior year.
Herman went on to play professionally in England for 2 years, leading his club called the Team Solent Kestrels to the NBL D1 National Trophy in 2018 as well as the Season & Playoff Champions in 2019.
Herman completed his MBA with a Human Resource Management certificate at the University of Illinois at Springfield while serving as the assistant coach on the Men’s Basketball team under Head Coach Matt Brock.
Herman works with startup basketball teams as a sports director to assist in managing the difficulties surrounding their new journey. His role includes scheduling gym time, seeking interested athletes, organizing tryouts, financial projections, team apparel production, promotion, and marketing
Over the years, Herman has partnered with several organizations to host camps, clinics, charity games, concerts, and other events. Some of these organizations include Make It Work Global, Project Mack, The Springfield Urban League, The Boys & Girls Club, & The Salvation Army.
